"I came to the Academy hoping to figure out the next steps in my journey. What I got was a crucible where God broke and remade me; a community that I came to love and struggle with and love again, and see in the process the reflection of God's character. I met a mentor who deeply shaped my thinking and my walk with the Lord. It was a formational experience, shaping me in ways that I cannot quite put a finger on yet. All I know is that in all my relationships with my colleagues now, I am constantly referring back to the lessons I learned in the Academy community."

“After a few years of working in San Francisco, first at Gap Inc. and then at a start-up non-profit, I was beginning to think more deeply about issues of poverty and philanthropy and I wanted to ground what I believed in deeper theology. My desire for intellectual and spiritual growth was the main reason I came to the Academy... but this idea of living in community and living for – not just alongside others when convenient - was something I was challenged with throughout my time at Osprey Point…To have learned these lessons and to have developed lifelong relationships are two of the greatest gifts of grace that I received through my time the Academy.”
